Welcome to the eΔΕΑ system. The system is provided by the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus. By accessing and using this platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use, as well as all applicable laws and regulations. Please read these terms carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use this platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using eΔΕΑ, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms and conditions that may apply to specific sections of the platform or to products and services available through the platform.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the platform after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Description of Services

The system consists of components that function together as a single integrated system to support the entire end-to-end automation and management of education data and related administration functions. eΔΕΑ includes the following functionality components:

SCHOOL MANAGEMENT

Facilitates the recording and maintenance of parameters and data for multiple schools across different educational levels, including school operation details, subjects and courses, curriculum information as well as the school calendar

STUDENT AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Facilitates the recording of student-related data and information relevant to their performance, including grades and attendance records, and provides automation for related administration functions.

STUDENT ADMISSIONS MANAGEMENT

Facilitates the end-to-end management of the student registration process, including data collection, registration confirmation, and fee collection.

EDUCATIONAL OFFICERS INFORMATION

Facilitates the recording of teacher related data and information relevant to their years of service, placements, substitutions, promotions, evaluations and leaves.

TIMETABLE MANAGEMENT

Facilitates the automatic generation and management of timetables, including the main school timetable, classroom schedules, teacher schedules, and examination timetables, based on defined parameters and constraints.

PORTAL/ONLINE SERVICES

Provides online services to internal and external users, including teachers, students, parents, and other stakeholders.

Use of the Platform

Eligibility

To use eΔΕΑ, you must be a registered student, parent, guardian, teacher, or staff member of a participating school within the Republic of Cyprus.

Authentication

Users must authenticate through the portal using their unique login credentials. Unauthorized access or use of the system is strictly prohibited.

User Accounts

As a user of the platform, you agree to:

  • Maintain Confidentiality: Protect your login credentials and personal information. Do not share your credentials with unauthorized individuals. Restrict access to your computer or device. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify the system administration immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

  • Accurate Information: Users must provide accurate and truthful information when registering and using the platform. Any updates to user information should be made promptly to ensure the platform’s data remains current.

  • Editing and Deletion: Only authorized personnel may amend or delete information. Exercise caution when performing these actions, especially for active elements.

  • Validation: The system will validate data entries. Any discrepancies must be resolved promptly to ensure data integrity.

  • Comply with Policies: Adhere to all relevant policies, guidelines, and procedures set forth by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth including those related to acceptable use, privacy, and academic integrity. Violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action.

Prohibited Conduct

Users of the platform must not:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

  • Upload or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform, other user accounts, or computer systems or networks connected to eΔΕΑ.

  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform or servers or networks connected to the platform.

  • Introduce any viruses, malware, or other harmful code into the platform.

Privacy

Personal Data

Your privacy is important to us. The platform complies with the data protection regulations of the Republic of Cyprus. Personal data collected and processed within the system will be handled in accordance with applicable laws.

Data Security

The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth is committed to protecting the security of user data. Measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of data.

Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and disclose information that pertains to your privacy. By using eΔΕΑ, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The content on eΔΕΑ, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, is the property of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth and is protected by Cyprus and international copyright laws. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content without our express written permission.

Usage Rights

Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use the content and materials solely for educational and administrative purposes.

Content Management

User-Generated Content

The platform may allow users to post, upload, or submit content. Users retain ownership of their content but grant the Ministry a license to use, distribute, modify, and display this content for educational purposes.

Prohibited Content

Users must not upload or share any content that:

  • Violates any laws or regulations.

  • Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

  • Contains viruses or any other harmful code.

  • Is offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate.

Monitoring and Removal

The Ministry reserves the right to monitor user activity and content on the platform. Any content deemed to be in violation of these Terms of Use, or any applicable laws may be removed without notice.

Third-Party Services

Integration with Third-Party Services

eΔΕΑ may integrate with third-party services to enhance the functionality of the platform. Users acknowledge that their use of such third-party services is subject to the terms and conditions of those services.

No Endorsement

The inclusion of third-party links or services within eΔΕΑ does not imply endorsement by the Ministry. Users access these third-party services at their own risk.

Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the operation of the platform or the information, content, or materials included on the platform. To the extent permitted by law, the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth will not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from the use of the platform, users agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the systemsupport team.

Formal Resolution

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, the dispute may be resolved through binding arbitration or litigation in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Users agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts located within the Republic of Cyprus.

Limitation on Claims

Any cause of action or claim arising out of the use of the platform, or relating to these Terms of Use, must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues, otherwise such cause of action or claim is permanently barred.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to eΔΕΑ at our sole discretion, without notice and for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to other users of the platform, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the Republic of Cyprus to resolve any legal matter arising from these terms.
